The Silchar Story

The story is about unchecked trafficking of children to the red light area in Silchar, Assam. The area is well known for its trafficking situation, as it one of the biggest trafficking hubs in the country and the situation is quite dire, with the police being complicit in the crime. Given the nature of the piece, as well as the politics of representation of these issues, The Caravan Magazine commissioned these illustrations to accompany the piece.
